Last unit at Panattoni Park Sittingbourne completes
Stephen George + Partners (SGP) is celebrating the completion of a 58,000 sqft (total GIA) warehouse unit at Panattoni Park Sittingbourne, Kent. The new unit completes the planned phases for the site, joining two warehouse/logistics buildings of 205,000 sqft and 440,000 sqft, the latter let to ID Logistics, at the popular park, situated just minutes from the M2 motorway.
Explains Marcus Madden-Smith, Partner at SGP: “In addition to adapting previously approved designs align more closely with Panattoni’s brand standards, we refined key elements of the scheme including van parking arrangements, to deliver an optimum operational configuration layout for the incoming new tenant, DPD.”
SGP’s design keeps the approved graduation of colour in the cladding but uses a greyscale palette with gentle Sargasso blue elements to better reflect Panattoni’s branding. A white ‘goalpost’ design on the main elevations reduces the visual mass of the building and the office design has been altered to suit the new treatment.
All three units meet Panattoni’s enhanced environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, including being Net Zero Carbon in development, fully PV and EV enabled, and targeting EPC ‘A’ and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ ratings.
Continues Dan Jones, Studio Director at SGP: “We worked closely with the contractor and tenant DPD, to deliver the scheme and are proud to have completed this popular scheme which will continue to deliver practical logistics solutions for our client, tenants and future users.”
Panattoni Park Sittingbourne is situated approximately four miles from Junction 5 of the M2 motorway, making it an attractive location for logistics operators. The site has excellent connections to local, national and European markets due to its close proximity to key distribution networks including the M2, M25, M20, London Thamesport, Dover and the port of Tilbury.
