Stephen George + Partners (SGP) has appointed Ben Gavaghan as Studio Director. Based in the Leeds office, Ben will be SGP’s Industrial and Logistics Lead for the North.

Ben joins SGP from DLA Architecture Leeds and has over 20 years’ experience working across a variety of different schemes, from speculative 3,000 sqft starter units to bespoke 1,000,000 sqft regional distribution centres. He has delivered projects and managed teams for clients including Morrisons, Arla, Wilson Bowden Developments, Caddick Developments and Opus North.

Alistair Branch, Partner at SGP, says: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to SGP. His exceptional experience and fresh perspective will add real value as we drive forward the SGP Vision and Partners plans for growth. This is a strategic appointment to build on our extensive capability and Industrial & Logistics Sector services in the North, with a particular focus on the M62 corridor.”

Ben comments: “I am excited to have the opportunity to add my voice, knowledge and experience to one of the UK’s leading commercial architectural practices. The profile of SGP’s clients, scale of projects and quality of service are best in class, fostering long-term relationships with repeat clients. I am looking forward to bringing a strong network of regional contacts including developers, consultants and contractors to create new opportunities for SGP across the commercial, industrial, and logistics sectors, helping to drive growth and market presence across Yorkshire and the North West.

“I would like to thank the SGP Partner Team for offering me this fantastic opportunity and also my network who have supported me through this significant milestone in my career. I look forward to reconnecting with everyone in the coming weeks.”
