Stephen George + Partners (SGP) has announced four new promotions this summer, reflecting the practice’s focus on developing and rewarding internal talent and fostering a resilient, future-ready business. These well-deserved promotions reflect the depth of talent within the practice and will further enhance SGP’s capabilities across multiple sectors.

Jonathon Hillen has been promoted to Principal Architectural Technologist, a role where his extensive knowledge of BIM will be brought to bear on various projects, particularly in the Logistics sector. Jonathon ensures projects meet building regulations, codes and client specifications and is continuously updating his knowledge and understanding of Building Regulations and construction methods.

Arshad Khan, Studio Director comments: “Jonathon is a great asset to SGP, helping deliver some of the most complicated projects in the team. He has always approached the strictest of deadlines and requests for information with a patience and calmness that generates confidence in all working alongside him. His wizardry with Revit has been invaluable in ensuring that information flows are managed accurately and with great efficiency. As a team we wish Johnny all the very best in his new role and look forward to working alongside him.”

Ben Rodwell has been promoted to Principal AI & Automation Specialist, a role in which he will focus on the technical development, implementation and adoption of AI and automation across the practice. Since joining SGP, Ben has successfully assisted in the delivery of drawing packages and BIM implementation in the delivery of numerous projects in the healthcare sector. He is an advocate of client / end user-centric design, aesthetic innovation, and sustainable building performance. Through his dedication, Ben exemplifies a profound commitment to advancing the practice towards excellence, where technology serves as a catalyst for meaningful change.

James Blood, Digital Director, comments: “Ben has played a key role in developing SGP’s AI and automation capability, including automation tools, AI governance, usage tracking, policy development, staff training and workflow improvement. This move into a full-time AI and Automation role will see Ben work closely with Digital, BIM, Visualisation and delivery teams to identify and integrate AI and automation opportunities across design, delivery and communication workflows. The promotion supports SGP’s wider objective to improve efficiency, reduce risk, improve consistency and future-proof the business.”

A valued member of the Industrial + Logistics team, Hannah Smith has been promoted to Associate, recognising her outstanding contribution to SGP over the last five years. Hannah places a strong emphasis on nurturing key client relationships and continually enhancing SGP’s service through innovative ideas and high-quality design. Beyond her project work, Hannah’s exceptional organisational skills and enthusiasm have helped strengthen the studio culture; whether coordinating social events across the region or bringing colleagues together beyond the workplace, she consistently makes a positive contribution to the wider practice.

Tariq Khan, Studio Director, comments: “Hannah has built and maintained an excellent relationship with our strategic client, Prologis, earning their trust through consistent professionalism and high-quality project delivery. She has demonstrated strong project management and leadership skills, while her commitment to developing others and driving design quality has made a significant impact within the studio. This promotion is thoroughly deserved, and I look forward to seeing Hannah continue to make a significant contribution to the future success of the practice. Please join me in congratulating her on this well-earned achievement.”

Promoted to Principal Architectural Technologist, Sinu Suresh is a key member of the architectural design team with over 5 years’ experience at SGP, specialising within the Logistics sector. Sinu has played a significant role in the delivery of a wide range of projects, from tenant fit-outs through to large-scale base build developments.
