Ground-breaking ceremony marks commencement of final phase of popular Derby business park

Stephen George + Partners (SGP) is excited to mark the start on site of the final phase of Indurent Park Derby. Byron Magumise, Associate at SGP attended a ground-breaking ceremony along with representations of key partners, including Indurent, Winvic, Wakemans and Hopkins Coats Associates.
The last two phases of the project consist of a 43,000 sqft warehouse with a first floor office on a prominent site at the entrance to the park, and an 887 space surface and multi-storey car park. 13% of the spaces in the surface car park will include EV charging points, with an additional 23% allocated for future expansion, topped with the provision of solar canopies to generate electricity.
The exterior of the three storey MSCP will be made of single skin, aluminium expanded mesh panels, providing a modern and clean looking silhouette. A mix of perforated and solid cladding elements, echo the graduated grey banding of the adjacent existing Indurent warehouses.
Explains Byron: “SGP has been involved in this development since 2011, masterplanning the entire site. The character and development mix of the park has evolved since its inception, and we were delighted to be present at the ground-breaking ceremony for its final phases.”
Work is expected to complete in December 2025, and the contractor is Winvic.
Indurent Park Derby is a 50 acre, high profile industrial and logistics park strategically situated off the A52 with excellent access to Derby city and the M1 motorway. Developed in partnership with Network Rail, the site provides high quality logistics and production space, with all units having BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A+ ratings. Indurent Park Derby is home to international businesses, such as KIA, Getinge, Vaillant and Rolls Royce.
