Stephen George + Partners’ Principal Architectural Technologist Sam Frain spent his SGP Volunteer Day helping the Squash United Foundation’s Rebound programme prepare donated equipment for community organisations around the world.

At the Foundation’s Leeds office, Sam worked alongside the team to sort hundreds of items donated by squash clubs across the UK. Together, they organised the equipment, sports clothing and accessories into four packages for Squash Urbano in Colombia, Squash Dreamers in Jordan, Egoli Squash in South Africa and Khelshala Squash Academy in India.

These organisations use squash to support young people in underserved communities. Their work also includes education, mentoring and activities that support wellbeing, while offering children a safe place to spend time.

Sam said: “It was a pleasure to help out for a day and see the benefits of the scheme first hand. The organisations receiving these donations are doing incredible work, often in challenging circumstances.”

SGP gives colleagues across its offices the opportunity to volunteer for a day with charities either individually or as a team working together for a good cause in our local communities.

The response from the team has been impressive, and we look forward to sharing more stories as they unfold.

Thank you to Sam for using his Volunteer Day to support this amazing charity, and to the Squash United Foundation for welcoming him.
