Celebrating 55 Years: SGP’s Annual Conference at The Hub

At Stephen George + Partners (SGP), our annual conferences are key moments for reflection, knowledge sharing, and connection across our offices.
Recent conferences have explored vital themes, such as masterplanning, design innovation, sustainability, and sector resilience. Whether in person or virtual, these events have provided a platform to discuss emerging challenges, showcase our collective achievements, and reaffirm our commitment to quality and collaboration.
We are proud of the contributions from across our practice and grateful to everyone who helped make these conferences a success. These gatherings continue to strengthen our culture and align us around a shared vision for the future.
For this year’s conference brings a new twist. Taking place on Thursday 26 June, we’re heading to The Hub at DIRFT, a building we are proud to have designed, delivered, and provided interior design services. In addition, we’ve masterplanned 7.8 million sqm of industrial space at DIRFT on behalf of Prologis UK since 2009, supporting them in providing industrial and warehouse spaces for high profile occupiers such as Culina Group, Dunelm, Kinaxia, NHS, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Royal Mail.
The day will be filled with engaging team-building activities, offering the entire practice the chance to unwind, connect, and celebrate the exceptional work we do together.
This year also marks a significant milestone, our 55th anniversary. From our beginnings in 1970, when City Architect Stephen George founded the practice in Leicester, SGP has grown into an award-winning AJ100 practice with a national presence and a reputation for design excellence, resilience, and innovation.
As we reflect on 55 years of architecture and masterplanning, we are proud of our legacy and look forward to the road ahead – guided by our values we hold today: We Care + We Challenge + We Deliver. These principles have evolved with us, shaped by our experiences and aspirations over time.
We are very much looking forward to what promises to be a meaningful, fun and exciting day of team building.
