SGP were commissioned to redevelop the existing bus station as part of a wider town centre redevelopment scheme.

The scheme includes a number of unique opportunities with 3 listed structures on site which need to be sensitively integrated into the final proposals. There are also significant level changes on site which requires detailed coordination with Aecom’s Engineering and Transport teams. Alistair Branch (SGP’s project Director) delivered the last new bus station for WYCA at Castleford.

A detailed planning application is programmed in May 2020 with the start on site anticipated in spring 2021. TCF Funding now secured.
