Stephen George + Partners showcases diverse design portfolio at Architecture Leeds
Stephen George + Partners is pleased to announce that it will be taking part in an exhibition to celebrate the work of architects and the wealth of design talent in Leeds this spring.
Organised by Leeds Society of Architects (LSA) and RIBA Yorkshire, the exhibition will occupy two retail units inside the 2017 RIBA National Award-winning Victoria Leeds Arcade. One of the units will host ‘Architecture Leeds’, an exhibition curated by LSA practices, while the other will be taken over by ‘Architecture in the Arcade’ – a pop-up studio which will give members of the public a chance to meet with a RIBA Chartered Architect for a free 30-minute design consultation.
Architecture Leeds is a one-off exhibition curated by the Leeds Society of Architects. It will celebrate the work of Leeds-based architecture practices and allow the general public to see the wide variety of work that architects collectively create. RIBA President Ben Derbyshire says that the exhibition will ‘help to promote architecture to a new audience and demonstrate the positive impact that architecture can have on people’s lives.’
One of the Architects’ Journal’s Top 100 Practices, Stephen George + Partners will be showcasing its diverse design portfolio on projects in the UK and overseas, including a private residence in Leicester, the fit out of Government offices in Manchester, a BMW distribution centre in Northampton and the Salalah Free Zone Company Head Office in Oman, Middle East.
Geoff Ward, Partner at Stephen George and Partners who is heading their exhibition, commented: “Stephen George + Partners is growing its capability across the UK and the Leeds office has made new significant team appointments including commercial, transport and healthcare sectors. It’s very pleasing to have the opportunity to show what SGP can do.”
Architecture Leeds takes place at Unit 26, Victoria Leeds from 14 April to 13 May, 10 am to 4pm.
