Prologis is the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, has announced a build-to-suit agreement with Crosswater Holdings Ltd for a 131,400 sqft. Stephen George & Partners designed freehold headquarters facility at The Bridge in Dartford. The Bridge is a 264-acre mixed-use project Prologis is developing in a joint venture with Dartford Borough Council. The Site was a masterplanned by Stephen George & Partners.

Crosswater Holdings, a subsidiary of Bathroom Brands, is currently based in several smaller units at Crossways Business Park in Dartford. The new building will provide consolidated logistics, office and storage space as well as a trade showroom. This will allow the company to consolidate its operations and bring together its three distinctive brands – Crosswater, Simpsons and Bauhaus – as well as associated brands such as Aqua Cabinets, Britton, Burlington and Cleargreen.

“The new headquarters building at The Bridge will allow us to establish a long-term future in Dartford” said David Hance, group chairman, Crosswater Holdings Ltd. “This is an ideal location for us since it will allow us to retain our existing staff”.

The new building has been designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM 2011 ‘very good’ accreditation and the best EPC rating possible for its size.

“We are pleased that Crosswater has chosen The Bridge for its new headquarters operation,” said Andrew Griffiths, managing director, Prologis UK. “Crosswater is working to a demanding timetable and has but its trust in us to deliver the facility to meet its operational deadline. Following closely behing the Leigh UTC, which started on site in October, the Crosswater facility is part of a new wave of development that is building momentum at The Bridge”.
