Marcus Madden-Smith speaking at Estates Gazette Industrial & Logistics Summit this November

7th November 2017

Stephen George + Partners’ Marcus Madden-Smith will be taking part in the Estates Gazette Industrial & Logistics Summit on 21 November in London. Marcus will be joining a midday panel to discuss alternative warehouse spaces and solutions such as mixed-use and multi-storey for space-constrained urban sites.

Says Marcus: “With urban land resources increasingly scarce and costly, consolidation of uses – including trade counters and click-and-collect or facilities with flexibility for multi and common users – will help maximise the value of a site and create economic benefits for landowners, developers and landlords looking to diversify their portfolios. Furthermore, in space-constrained inner-city sites, we need to start thinking about warehouse buildings being multi-layered, with office space, PRS housing or student accommodation sitting above ground-floor urban logistics facilities.”

The Estates Gazette Summit is one of the premier events in the Industrial & Logistics sector calendar and, alongside Stephen George + Partners, will feature a range of industry experts from organisations such as John Lewis, Formal Investments, AXA IM – Real Assets and Verdion. Other topics being covered during the Summit include warehouse design and specification, last-mile delivery, technology in the supply chain, as well as a discussion on attracting and retaining logistics talent.

Both Stephen George + Partners’ Marcus Madden-Smith and James Nicholls will be available during the event to discuss the issues raised in the panel sessions as well as offering insight and advice on logistics and industrial infrastructure and masterplanning.

The Estates Gazette Industrial & Logistics Summit takes place on 21 November 2017 at U+I, Howick Place, London. For further details: http://www.egevents.co.uk/Industrial2017
