Stephen George & Partners Contribute to the RIBA Education Yearbook 2012

As a result of winning the RIBA President’s Award for Outstanding Practice-located Research for our Guide to Building Materials and the Environment, we were asked by the Royal Institute of British Architects to write a summary of our work on this and on the related SusCon project for inclusion in the RIBA Yearbook 2012.

This was published in December 2012 and covers all aspects of the RIBA’s educational work, including an overview of the prestigious and world renowned President’s Medals of which our award was part.

Our article appears over four pages of the Yearbook and gives a brief insight into why we decided to create the award-winning Guide and what results were achieved. SusCon, which generated much of the initial research for the Guide, subsequently won the 2012 BREEAM Further Education Award.
