Siemens’ Feilden House in Lincoln wins Sustainable Building Award

10th October 2013

Siemens’ Feilden House in Lincoln wins Most Sustainable Development of the Year at the 2013 Insider Media East Midlands Property Awards.

Completed in 2012, this new facility for Siemens was entered for the awards by main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland. The new facility on the outskirts of Lincoln is the result of a strategic decision by Siemens to relocate its service operations from four sites around the city, including outdated Victorian workshops, to a single state-of-the-art facility.

Comprising a 48,000 sqft 3 storey office and 74,000 sqft with the potential to allow future expansion, the facility has been assessed by the BRE as achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ for the Office and ‘Outstanding’ for the workshop, one of the first in the area to do so.
