NEST Corporation’s New Offices at Riverside House, London

17th December 2013

Stephen George & Partners LLP were delighted to be retained by Telereal Trillium to design the fit out for NEST Corporation when it relocated their London offices to Riverside House on Southwark Bridge, leasing 3 of the 12 floors.

NEST Corporation delivers NEST pensions, a new national pension scheme run on a not-for-profit basis, established by Government to support the introduction of workplace pension reforms. With the contract on their existing offices at St Dunstan’s House on Borough High Street expiring this year, NEST needed to find new premises which could deliver good value for money whilst offering a central London location and good office space.

Geoff Ward, partner with Stephen George & Partners LLP, was lead architect on the NEST relocation project. Commenting on the design, he said ‘Riverside House has been a great building to work with, offering a practical and pleasant open-plan office space. We worked hard to retain and reuse as many elements of the existing offices as we could so that we could use the modest budget for those things that would really make the best value-for-money impact on the working environment. We are very pleased with the result.’

As a moving in present, to recognise their support on the project, Geoff presented the NEST delivery team with a helium-filled flying clown fish, complementing perfectly NEST’s corporate colours. See it in action at YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=698jwV4jTXo
