Dominic Cain

Dominic is a member of SGP’s Residential team, contributing to the design and delivery of bespoke rural homes and larger residential developments. His experience spans feasibility studies, site analysis and planning proposals through to the coordination of technical and construction information across RIBA Stages 4–5.

He has a particular interest in residential architecture that enhances everyday living through considered massing, daylight and sensitivity to local vernacular. Dominic also has a growing focus on sustainable retrofit strategies and long-term building performance, supporting the practice’s approach to high-quality placemaking and resilient residential design.

Outside of practice, Dominic enjoys architecture-focused travel and urban sketching during weekend breaks across European cities. He keeps active through strength training, running and regular gym sessions, and plays rugby as well as social badminton. He is also a keen classic car enthusiast.
