Chinmay supports SGP’s project teams with BIM coordination and assists in the development and implementation of BIM processes following ES EN ISO 19650. This includes the co-ordination and management of federated BIM models, such as clash detection, issue tracking, and structured collaboration using tools such as Navisworks and Solibri; as well as ensuring compliance with BIM standards and protocols.

Proud of earning a distinction in his recent MSc in Construction Design Management from the University of Exeter, Chinmay originally became an architect in Mumbai, India, after five years of hard, but rewarding, work. Deeply interested in our technological future, from AI and robotics to digital twins and their real‑world applications, Chinmay also has an eye on the possibilities of off-world construction. “If humanity really is on a path towards inhabiting Mars, I’d love to be part of the team helping build something there,” he says.

A sports enthusiast, Chinmay enjoys playing cricket, table tennis, powerlifting, and running. When not physically participating in sport, you can find him playing chess, Fantasy Premier League, Clash of Clans and supporting his favourite football club Real Madrid.
