Urban Regeneration
The site, to the north of Chesterfield town centre, is a significant brown field development lying within a conservation area, with planning consent for change of use and construction of residential units.
To stimulate regeneration of this area the proposal incorporates the refurbishment and extension of an existing Victorian workhouse to provide a range of flats for rent. The generation of a good social mix and physical variety is achieved by the integration of new build sheltered accommodation and private town houses.
