Leicester's first multi-screen cinema,
for Warner Brothers, was opened in July 1995. At that time
this was the most advanced cinema in the UK, incorporating
a radical change in the style and presentation of the genre.
The design recalls the great theatres of the past reinterpreted
in a modern contemporary form.
The site also provides other leisure facilities
including a 24 lane bowling alley, a range of restaurants,
fast food outlets and a David Lloyd Leisure centre creating
a unified development with the cinema at its heart.
