The design brief called for a multi-purpose
building to include a recreational facility for the Bowling
Club, office space for the Parish Council, community halls
and workshop. The traditional pavilion form exploits changes
in level to create a sheltered veranda and club house fronting
the bowling green with two storey office and community facilities
addressing the village street.
