Planning Consent Obtained for New Dunelm Mill Store in Doncaster

St Modwen has been granted planning consent to build a 40,000 sqft store
1st March 2013

Birmingham-based developer St Modwen has been granted planning consent to build a 40,000 sq ft store for Leicestershire-headquartered retailer Dunelm Mill at a site in Doncaster. On completion, Dunelm Mill will relocate from its existing site at Thorne Road Retail Park to the new £3m store at Wheatley Hall Road.

As part of the on-going redevelopment of this 13-acre site, formerly occupied by Tyco Electronics, construction work has also started on a new Marston’s public house, which is due to open in six months.

St Modwen commented “The regeneration of Wheatley Hall Road is progressing well and through the creation of new jobs is already having a positive impact on the local economy.”

Stephen George & Partners has been working with St Modwen on the development of masterplans and proposals for the Wheatley Hall Road sites.
