Planning Appeal Success
Successful planning appeal at Bridgegate, Retford
31st July 2014
Our design for 33 affordable houses in a Conservation Area in Retford, aimed at revitalising a very-run down area of the town centre and restoring Tenterflat Walk, an adopted ‘ancient highway’, spent two years as a planning application. The planning department raised objection to the demolition of a very undistinguished empty building on the frontage, even though there was no other way to access the site.
The successful appeal result was announced a week after the hearing. The inspector’s report is complimentary about the design proposals.
