CSB Headquarters Building in Thurmaston is a Finalist in 2013 ProCon Awards

Charles Street Buildings Group HQ is a finalist in this year’s Procon Leicestershire Awards. The building has been shortlisted in the small non-residential building category. The awards are announced in November.

Arranged on three floors, the building is square in plan with a central top lighted circulation core housing the glass-walled lift and wrap around stair. The building arrangement provides light and ventilation to perimeter offices and meeting rooms and benefits from great transparency and visibility through circulation areas.

Featuring a rusticated stone base, which gives the building a sense of solidity, the upper storeys maximise use of glass and shading to articulate the facades while the pitched roof and pyramidal lantern is designed to offer a considered all round aspect.
